Okay, CoffeeConnect is officially off and running. Susanne and I met with Elena and Gina at the Camp House on Williams Street between Market and Main. If you haven’t visited that part of town, you are missing out. It’s one of those areas you should just park and walk around.
The Camp House has one thing we’ve found at a number of places already and that’s the ability to open up the space to the outside through either giant double doors or retractable walls. On a beautiful, Spring-like day with a cup of coffee in an oversized chair, the conversation is sure to be good.
On to Chattanooga. Elena clued us into 10×10 coming up in April. If you like public displays of art get ready for a downtown event. Billed as a “collaborative citywide arts and culture showcase”, it’s the type of event you will come to expect in Chattanooga.
She also told us about “A Festival of Five Minute Plays” performed at the Mountain Arts Community Center this Friday and Saturday night. More information can be found on their Facebook page.
Gina told us about the Carousel at Coolidge Park, Signal Point on Signal Mountain, and Harrison Bay State Park.
What a nice mix of the arts, activities, and good conversation. Thanks E and G.
